Pick a role and plan your grindOne deep track · Spend the discount · Plan the wall

How the item in your hands picks the XP track, which role to commit to, spending the New Recruit discount, and planning around the Season 1 level 15 to 20 wall with a time calculator.

  1. 01

The item in your hands picks the track

There is no class screen. An assault rifle kill feeds Infantry, a revive feeds Medic, a spot feeds Recon, a hammer swing feeds Support. Hover any item at the vendor and it tells you which track it pays. The mapping

Pick the one role you will play most

Choose by what you enjoy, because that is what you will actually do for 20 hours:

    RoleYou likeFirst milestone [S1]
    InfantryTake groundLevel 3: AK74
MedicKeep them fightingLevel 2: Field Resuscitator
    ReconSee firstLevel 2: Monocular
SupportBuild and breakLevel 2: C4 Charge
    DriverMove the squadLevel 3: URAL
PilotOwn the skyLevel 4: Little Bird with miniguns

Then commit. Run one deep track and let the others fill in on the side: an assault rifle with a few bandages and binoculars still levels Infantry, Medic and Recon on the same life. How Career level relates to the sub-tracks

  3. 03

Spend the New Recruit discount before level 9

Everything costs half while your Wardog level is in single digits. Sources split on whether level 9 itself still gets it, so spend before you reach 9. Buy durable things: armor, a helmet, an optic, a backpack, and your first blueprint unlock. The New Recruit discount

Plan for the level 15 to 20 wall

Season 1 made levels 15 to 20 the slowest stretch: 140,000 XP [S1] for five levels, more than the first 15 combined. BULKHEAD expects the median player to be around level 20 after 20 to 25 hours. The Season 1 XP curve

19.1hours on that one track [MODEL]

215,000 XP [S1] between level 10 and level 20. The preset 11,250 an hour is the middle of BULKHEAD's median player. Change it to your own.

  5. 05

Earn it faster inside the hotzone

Everything in the hotzone pays double, XP included, and your body counts twice for team scoring. Whatever role you picked, do it in the yellow circle. The hotzone double-payout rule

Every unlock level and cost is on the leveling page, each rated against the changelog.
